WHAT’S NEARBY
QORICANCHA TEMPLE
Best symbol of the fusion of the Inca and Hispanic cultures. At the foundations of what was the Temple of the Sun of the ancient Peruvians, the church and the convent of Santo Domingo were built here. The atrium is the starting point of the most important festival of the city, the Inti Raymi. Right in front of the hotel.
CUSCO CATHEDRAL
The most important temple of the city. When the Spanish conquers arrived in Cusco, they decided to take down the Suntur Wari, or Wiracocha’s Palace and build their Christian Cathedal. Its interior keeps outstanding samples of colonial goldwork and important paintings of the Escuela Cusqueña. 4 blocks from the hotel.
MÁXIMO LAURA MUSEUM
Private collection of tapestries by maestro Máximo Laura, compiled through more than 35 years of work by this famous artist. His work intertwines Peruvian tradition with contemporary art to give continuity to Peruvian millennial textile art. Free entrance. 3 blocks from the hotel.
LA BODEGA 138
Delicious Italian restaurant with excellent pasta, fresh salads, wood oven baked pizzas and great desserts. Warm and casual atmosphere. 4 blocks from the hotel.
MUSEO DEL PISCO
Lounge Tavern with tapas, sushi bar & ceviches, and the best cocktails based on Pisco, especially our national drink: Pisco Sour. Relaxed atmosphere with local flavor. 3 blocks from the hotel.
SAN BLAS DISTRICT
Cusco's most picturesque neighborhood lined with artists' studios, artisans' workshops, and many of the best bars and restaurants of the city. It is a great area to wander around in the afternoon. Short but increasingly steep walk from the Plaza de Armas. 4 blocks from the hotel.
